Window Shades are one of the most intriguing window fashions. There are many different kinds of shades. For example, there are roller shades. They are typically made of vinyl but can also be made from fabric. The most popular fabric shades are balloon shades, Roman shades and Austrian shades. There are different fabric choices on shades - woven, linen, crinkle-textured, and a room-darkening semi-opaque material. All of these types of shades can add a wonderful variety to your range of choices that can be used to decorate your home or office.

The classic look and the down-to-earth practicality of blinds and shades make them ideal choices for bringing a sense of style to both modern and traditional interiors.

We specialize in caring Hunter Douglas products. In design language, a blind is a tailored window covering consisting of horizontal slats or vertical vanes, which can be opened and closed, made from sturdy materials such as aluminum, vinyl, or wood.

There are a variety of different types of blinds. A window covering made from soft fabric or fabric-like material shade is called a shade. Shades lend themselves to a broad range of decorative styles. They most commonly roll or fold up from the bottom to the top.

Shutters are usually made of wood slats used to allow air to flow through but not to admit sunlight.

Blinds, shutters, and the visual softness of shades offer beauty and function in a neat package; each is capable of standing on its own or combining with lavish layers of draperies and top treatments for a highly personalized window statement.

Horizontal Blinds
Consists of slats that reach from the floor to the ceiling or top of the window horizontally rather than vertically. The blind consists of slats that can be stacked up by means of a pull cord. Another control tilts the slats for as much light control and privacy as desired.

Aluminum Blinds
Horizontal blinds that come with slats ranging from micro (1/2") to mini (1") to broader (2") widths. Their clean-lined design makes them suitable in almost any room decor. They are particularly compatible with modern architecture. Miniblinds can be cut to fit around air conditioners and window cranks, and custom-fitted to unusual window shapes. Stacking space for aluminum blinds is minimal; a 6' blind stacks to less than 6" fully raised.

Wood Blinds
These are valued for their handsome, natural look durability, and insulation properties. They come in 1" and 2" slat widths. More expensive than aluminum blinds, the best wood blinds are made of natural American hardwoods such as ash cherry, oak, basswood, or maple as well as pine, and are kiln-dried to prevent warping, splitting, or twisting.
