• Shutters
  Shutters are valued for their practicality and traditional look. They can be made of solid wood but most often they have movable slats to admit light and views. A more recent innovation is shutters made of PolySatin vinyl. These have the advantage of being warp- and crack-proof, which suits them to high-usage and high-humidity locations such as bathrooms and kitchens.

• Honeycomb Shades
  If you want a shade with an energy efficiency rating and insulation value, the Honeycomb shades are right for you. Some honeycomb shades have reflective metal finishes, others have blackout linings, and still others are sheer. If desired, there is also available a battery-operated remote control that can raise and lower shades at the touch of a button.
  

• Privacy Sheers - Luminette®
  These meld the light-softening quality of a sheer drapery with the privacy and adjustable control of blinds. Vertical vanes of soft fabric are bonded to a single sheer facting fabric. When the sheers are drawn closed, the vanes can be rotated with the twist of a wand to provide privacy, or tilted open for filtered light. Luminette reduces glare and provided UV protection during the day, while providing a soft-focus view; by night, it offers complete privacy with the luxurious look of draperies. Luminette sheers are a natural choice for French doors, sliding doors and walls of windows, where both light and privacy are a priority.
